Warranty Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: 1 January 2026
Brand Promise: At UTIN Solar Solutions Ltd, we operate with Integrity, deliver with Excellence, and put our customers at the center of everything we do. These warranty terms are designed to be transparent, fair, and protective of both our customers and the long-term performance of their solar systems.

1. Scope of Warranty Coverage

UTIN Solar provides warranty coverage for solar system components supplied by us, subject to the terms outlined below.

  • The inverter warranty covers repairs or replacement of serviceable parts, as deemed necessary by UTIN Solar’s technical team.

  • Warranty support applies only to products used under normal operating conditions and for its intended purpose.

2. Inverter Replacement Policy

  • If a customer requests a full inverter replacement during the active warranty period, the existing inverter must be traded in.

  • The customer will be required to pay not less than 50% of the current market price of the replacement inverter.

This policy ensures fairness while allowing customers access to upgraded or replacement systems when required.

3. Warranty Exclusions (Improper Use & Customer-Caused Faults)

The warranty does not cover:

  • Defects resulting from improper usage or system abuse.

  • Errors or damage caused directly by the customer or third parties.

Our goal is to protect customers from manufacturing or installation-related faults, while encouraging responsible system use.

4. Battery Warranty Conditions

4.1 External Factors (Not Covered)

Battery warranty excludes defects caused by external factors such as:

  • Overcharging or undercharging

  • Power instability or improper configuration

Important Note: Battery swelling or bulging is typically caused by overcharging and is therefore classified as an external factor.

Where the entire system was installed by UTIN Solar’s technical staff, configuration-related issues will be assessed fairly and professionally.

4.2 Battery Performance Degradation (Cost-Sharing Policy)

Battery performance naturally declines over time. To maintain transparency, the following replacement terms apply:

Batteries with Two (2) Year Warranty

  • After 12 months: Customer pays 50% of the current market price before replacement.

  • After 18 months: Customer pays 75% of the current market price before replacement.

Batteries with Five (5) Year Warranty

  • After 30 months: Customer pays 50% of the current market price before replacement.

5. Warranty Void Conditions

The warranty becomes null and void if any of the following occur:

  • Product tampering or unauthorized modification

  • Exposure to earthing leakages

  • Physical damage to batteries or battery terminals

  • Persistent power surges or grid instability without appropriate surge protection

  • Battery explosion due to blocked vent plugs (flooded batteries)

  • Misuse, neglect, or use outside the product’s intended purpose

  • Exposure to fire, floods, lightning, earthquakes, or other acts of nature

  • Batteries not installed on racks or pallets

  • Improper installation by non-UTIN Solar personnel

  • System or battery overloading

  • Failure to provide 6–8 hours of daily charging in non-solar configurations

  • Failure to submit required documents for warranty claims

6. Battery Maintenance Responsibility

  • Tubular batteries require routine maintenance using distilled water.

  • Customers are responsible for this maintenance within and after the first year of purchase.

Proper maintenance significantly extends battery life and system reliability.

7. Installation Advisory (Customer-Centric Guidance)

To ensure optimal performance and full warranty protection, customers are strongly advised to have all installations carried out by UTIN Solar’s certified technical staff.

This minimizes installation errors and ensures system safety, efficiency, and long-term value.

8. Appliance Usage Advisory

Heat-generating appliances such as:

are not recommended for use with solar systems below 10kVA capacity. View our store for inverter enabled appliances.

Using inappropriate appliances may overload the system and void warranty coverage.

9. Logistics & Emergency Support

  • Logistics costs for installations or services outside our city of operation shall be borne by the client.
